Events on the Isle
From four speakers’ programs that bring in world-renowned presenters, to huge carnival-style family bashes, John’s Island Club delivers an outstanding and diverse calendar of cultural and educational events that appeal to all ages. Rich in tradition, events such as vintage car shows, garden and book clubs, bridge, mah jongg, movie nights, summer wine tastings, and musical presentations keep generations coming back year after year.
The holidays bring multi-generational luncheons, holiday-specific buffets, Christmas social and craft events, and personal visits from Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. Add in the Trivia Challenge Dinners, Winemaker’s Dinners and the JI Singers, you’ll discover there are plenty of events jam-packed into just one season!
Taking full advantage of the warm Florida sunshine, the Club hosts several outdoor activities for youngsters, such as the six-day Adventure Island Camp that leads up to the spectacular 4th of July Firework Celebration. For young “athletes” there are junior clinics and camps in golf, tennis and squash. And, for the more adventurous, the annual Warrior Dash tests fitness levels with running, ocean swim, sand crawl, and other physical obstacles. And don’t forget the 4th of July is the annual Splash & Dash, which combines running and ocean swimming!
An amazing place to call “home” – incredibly friendly and welcoming community. Great families of all generations and every imaginable activity to enjoy. The facilities, amenities, food and service are top notch.
