Sea Turtle Nesting Season

News

It is officially the peak of hatchling season, and we now have all three species (Green, Leatherback, and Loggerhead) hatching in Indian River County! The best way to help nesting emergence is to either turn off your outside lights or shield lights when they are on and use amber or red lights bulbs. Official nest count as of 08/02/18: Loggerhead = 5,308;   Green = 117;   Leatherback = 45.  Source: Indian River Coastal Divisions Programs Facebook page.
